Ever wondered what it’s like to be a model? Think it’s all Sun, Sea and Sexy Guys? Well, think again! Life as a model is far more demanding than simply standing still and having a few photographs taken, as out featured model Trish, explains:

“A typical day’s shoot can start from 4 or 5am, depending on the location, time of year and the type of shots the photographer is looking for. If he wants early morning “sunrise” shots, then we have to be ready for sunrise! That means getting to the location several hours before dawn, to get our hair done, make-up applied and slip into costume. After that, we have to wait for the shot to be set up, and then the actual shoot begins. Sometimes we can be doing a shoot all day, and not get home until after dark.”

Of course, there are perks to the job:

“Oh yeah! Getting up close and personal with young, fit, sexy guys is always fun! [laugh] But having to hold still in one pose for anywhere up to 10 minutes is actually very tiring. You have to stay perfectly still so the photographer can get his shot, so muscle aches are common in this business. Having said that, I wouldn’t want to do anything else!”
